At some point everyone wonders who they are? This is a loaded question. We often think that our possessions or cultural status determine who we are. We think our job is who we are. But do your expensive clothes determine who you are? We typically want to flatten out who we are into two-dimensional labels. We box oursevles in. This is part of why our world has become so polarized. We think we can judge each other easily.
God’s vision for the world is different. It takes our two dimenional reality and adds depth. No matter what you do or what you wear, you are a child of God. Whenever you question who you are make sure you involve God before you arrive at an answer. The world’s purpose for you is not God’s purpose for you. God offers us a much deeper life. It is three dimensional and we should all be in awe of it.
