Why One More?
Answering the question of "why we are" is just as important as answering the question of "who we are." We cannot exist simply to bring another church into a city that already has numerous established churches. If we exist to simply look like some other church in the area, then what is the purpose of establishing a new work? God's uniqueness mandates our uniqueness, distinctly motivated by the personality that God desires to impart upon the lostness of the culture we desire to reach.
God is forming this family for a people that will celebrate the Word of the Lord and invigorate culture with life- transforming hope. We celebrate on Sunday, but we perpetuate the teaching throughout the week. We understand that we are the hands and feet of God, extended into the world. We seek to grow numerically, thrive spiritually, and function collectively towards the hope that all may encounter His Divine Grace.
Our desire is that everyone will understand that we are more than a church that one simply attends: we are The Church, an active, life-giving, and purposed organism that courageously possesses the promises of Scripture as a victorious people of God's Kingdom.
The question of "Why One More" is answered simply because God's Kingdom and purposes mandate that He have a faithful witness to His Glory and Character on the earth. As long as there are people that have not heard, brokenness that has not been mended, distance that has not been resolved, injustices that oppress, emptiness not filled, and land yet to possess, there is a need for a voice that can speak to these issues and a people destined to make a difference.
